Wellington Country House is an intimate guesthouse situated in the picturesque farming village of Wellington, Western Cape South Africa, with majestic views over the Limietberg, Du Toitskloof and Drakenstein Mountains. The guest house is just 40 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and centrally located with Franschoek, Paarl and Riebeek Kasteel, Ceres and Stellenbosch and Blouberg Strand within easy 20 minute reach. The west coast is only an hour’s drive, to have a day on the beach or escape on a hot summer day. Wellington is a farming village known for its Mediterranean climate with long warm sunny summer days and snow-capped mountains in winter. Wellington Country House overlooks orchards and vineyards of neighbouring farms. From the pool deck, lounge and dining rooms you are watch the viticulturist at work, overseeing the pruning of the vines and trees. The mountains around us are mountain bikers’ and hikers’ dreams. Clear streams run below the famous Bainskloof pass amongst the unsurpassed splendour of the Cape Fynbos, we even have our very own rare proteas: The Mountain Rose, a tiny redish specimen with drooping heads, the very rare Kasteelkloof protea and the Krantz Protea.
